Universal Orlando’s Cabana Bay Resort is one of the best resorts Universal Orlando has to offer. It was a really pleasant, fun, clean, and themed to perfection! You step in the 50’s feeling retro chic!
We had the pleasure of staying in two different towers: Bayside and Beachside. Each tower has its own parking structure so it’s easy to enter and exit as you please.
I have been wanting to stay at Cabana Bay for a long time and finally I did and I will definitely be returning for another visit.
The rooms were big enough for a family of four and the theming remains strong. The beds were comfortable and so were the pillows. After a long day at the parks you can enjoy a good nights rest. You can also enjoy two pools, a water slide, and a lazy river. Life jackets are provided but if you want a tube you must pay extra which is around $11 per tube. You can also enjoy 50s toiletries such as Zest and VO5.
If you are 21+ years and older you can enjoy a cocktail from the Swizzle Lounge located in the lobby area. Next to the Swizzle Lounge you can shop Cabana Bay and Universal Orlando Merchandise. If you want a pick me up before the parks there is a Starbucks located in the hotel. You can avoid long Starbucks lines in the parks and stop there first.
I highly recommend getting a Volcano Bay room view rather than the standard room. This is what I woke up to every morning and even with the fog it was a stunning view! If you are a Universal Orlando Annual Passholder you can get a discounted rate for any Universal Orlando hotel. Cabana bay is one of my favorites to visit and I’ll be back!
