Disneyland Resort tips!

If you are visiting the Disneyland Resort for the first time or if you’re looking for tips for your next visit, I got you covered! Sometimes visiting the Disneyland Resort can be challenging because it is always changing but the encouraging part is that your trip is going to be magical! Before visiting you should do some research and check out the Disneyland resort website : https://disneyland.disney.go.com. You should also download the Disneyland app on your phone so you have access to wait times, photos, restaurant guides, and more.

When to visit: The best and less crowded times to visit would include January, February, Early march, end of august, September and early October. I also recommend you visiting crowd tracking sites to double check the dates you plan to visit.

Where to stay: I highly recommend staying on Disney property, my favorite hotel to stay at is the Disneyland Hotel. It showcases a lot of Disney history and you can really feel the magic and Disney vibe as soon as you walk in. The rooms are decorated beautifully and filled with fantasy, adventure, and frontier themes in each tower of the hotel. You can also have a Dole Whip at your disposal without even entering Disneyland! There are also two other hotels on property which include the Grand Californian Hotel which is a Californian inspired hotel that showcases the beautiful sequoias that can be found in Northern California. There is also the Paradise Pier Hotel which is a beach inspired hotel which is a lot of fun to stay in as well. If you do not want to stay on property there are also several hotels that are nearby Disneyland such as Howard Johnson and the Anaheim Marriott. These hotels are just a short walk away from the parks and are very convenient.

Attractions: To maximize your day and get on the most rides as possible I recommend using Disney’s Maxpass. You can skip the wait and make fastpass selections on your phone while using the Disneyland app while in the parks. The Disney MaxPass is available for $10 per day, per ticket.

Attractions you must do at Disneyland: Alice in Wonderland, Autopia, Big Thunder Railroad, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Dumbo, Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones Adventure, it’s a small world, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Peter Pan’s Flight, Pirates of the Caribbean, Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain,  and Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room.

Attractions you must do at Disney’s California Adventure: Golden Zephyr, Goofy’s Sky School, Grizzly River Run, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, Incredicoaster, The Little Mermaid- Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, Monster’s Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!, Radiator Springs Racers, Silly Symphony Swings, and Soarin’ Around the World.

Restaurants:

One of my favorite restaurants to dine at Disneyland would be Red Rose Tavern. It is inspired by the classic movie Beauty & the Beast. The food is delicious and so is the grey stuff 😉.

Over at California Adventure: Smokejumper’s Grill is a must! It has a tasty American cuisine that will have you fueled for the rest of your day!

Photo Opportunities: You can capture all your memories with an unlimited Disney Photopass. You can collect your photos on a card given to you by a Photopass photographer or on your mobile app from character greetings and select dining locations. If you opt out of using this service you can give your personal phone/camera to a character host or Photopass photographer and they will gladly take your photos for free.

Parades: Pixar Play Parade is a parade filled with your favorite Pixar Pals that will have you dancing and singing throughout the whole parade route. You can view this parade every day at Disneyland at 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm. Paint the Night is one of the most breathtaking, fun, and brightest parades to view during your stay! You absolutely MUST see this no matter what! You can view this parade at Disney’s California Adventure every night at 8:50 pm.
